Are you a new venturer in the world of podcasts? Are you a productivity or business geek? Want to start your day better? Then this is for you.
Wazzz up nerds?! I get a lot of questions for podcast recommendations and it will take at least 2 more posts for me to cover some of my favourites but for starters (Like literally, I listen to theme everyday at the start of my day) here are some of my go to picks.
Before Breakfast
In each bite-sized, daily episode of Before Breakfast, host Laura Vanderkam shares a time management strategy or an answer to a listener’s schedule question. How can listeners make the most of their time, both at work and at home? The mission is to give listeners practical tools to feel less busy and get more done.
I personally like Laura for all the practical tips that she gives. I don't prefer BS motivation in the morning, just something new to begin the day is enough. Check it out:
Finshots
You'll like this only if you're someone who is remotely related to business. Even if you are not, but you enjoy learning about the policy developments in India on a daily basis, I bet you'll dig this one.
A daily 5-min podcast explaining the most important finance and business happenings in plain English. India focused but I love the brevity of their work. They are currently on a break from streaming because of COVID but I hope it gets better soon.

The Habit Coach with Ashdin Doctor
This is the FIRST podcast I started my journey with. I am sure I have listened to more than 300 episodes of this one.
Ashdin Doctor takes you through the creation of simple and easy-to-adapt habits - habits we can all incorporate into our lives, habits around health, sleep, de-stressing, productivity, movement, nutrition and relationships.
Each episode is bite-sized and less than five minutes long, packed with fun-facts and an easy-to-form habits. Initially all the episodes were less than 10 mins long but now he has started taking long-form interviews as well so you get a lot of variety with his podcast.
Give it a try:
If you get bored of his podcast (which is highly unlikely) then you may check out his You Tube channel Awesome 180.
Let's Do Shots
Presented by Siddhant More from Mad Over Marketing- Do we need any other introduction?
There are so many wonderful marketing and advertising stories that need to be heard, but there's so little time. In this podcast, they speak about these stories in short and crisp episodes. Who doesn't like an intriguing story on marketing? Give it a shot :P
Nutrition Diva
Being a culinary geek, a food podcast is mandatory.
In our diet-obsessed culture, nutritional controversies abound. Is gluten bad for me? Does intermittent fasting really work? Coconut milk? Soy milk? Almond milk?
Gliding through these tremors of nutritional controversy is Monica Reinagel, the host of the Nutrition Diva podcast. She serves up simple, painless ways to upgrade your eating habits.
I feel there is a lot of information asymmetry in terms of what we know about our food and eating habits and how it impacts our body.
What makes this podcast especially helpful is wide-angle view of nutrition, tackling everything from bone broth to zinc lozenges and melatonin as a sleep aid to energy versus nutrient density.
Just what I was looking for to start my podcast journey! Thank youuuuu! 😄
